Elsje KrugerElsje Kruger completed her Bcom Accounting degree at the North West University in Potchefstroom (then the PU vir CHO) and thereafter entered into the field of education. She quickly distinguished herself as a woman who stands back for nothing and soon became the Head of Department of Economic Sciences.
Elsje has been involved with the North West Children’s Choir since 2004. Initially Elsje was the treasurer of the choir but took over the role of organiser in 2007 in which she organised several national concert tours as well as three international concert tours to Austria, Italy, Prague, Slovenia, France, Germany, England and The Netherlands. With 38 years of teaching experience Elsje has a tremendous love for children and plays a pivotal role in their education, frame of reference and world views. She believes it to be of vital importance to expose a child to as many opportunities as possible from an early age. She feels strongly that children’s abilities are all too often underestimated and that they are capable of a whole lot more than would normally be expected of them. Her extreme love for choral singing and the energy with which the children perform certainly presents her with an exciting task as organiser.
